More classes added to schedule

We are already booking classes into next year - make sure to check the class calendar frequently, as it changes frequently as we schedule more and more classes.

You can also click on the "Events" tab on our Facebook page for class details.

Current class schedule:

On Saturday, October 16 @ 10:30 AM we will be offering this chainmaille bracelet class:

This is a fun, and fairly easy bracelet, and looks great in multicolor, but you can also decide to just use a few colors with the silver - like shades of blue, or the school colors of your choice, or just copper with the silver. We have the multicolored bracelet shown above on display in the shop, as well as one in just red and black. Both of these are made with enamelled copper wire. We also have one on display made in various blues, with sterling silver rings instead of enamelled copper rings.

The fee for this class is $35 plus materials; for bracelets made with all enamelled copper rings, the bracelet kit will cost $18.50. If you should prefer to make you bracelet with sterling silver, the fee will vary according to bracelet length, as the sterling is priced by weight. We will have all this information available at the shop when you register.

A $25 non-refundable deposit will be required upon registration ($45 non-refundable deposit if you choose sterling silver rings). At the time of registration, students will need to specify what colors they wish to work with during the class. Registration for this class will end at 6PM on Wednesday, October 13 (that's today!), so that I will have ample time to get everyone's jump rings cut and tumbled prior to class Saturday morning!

On Sunday, November 14 @ 1 PM Daniel will be returning to teach his wire-wrapped pendant class. This is a great class for beginners, or for those wishing to further advance their wire-wrapping techniques. The class project is a wrapped cabochon, and the fee is $35 plus supplies. A $15 non-refundable deposit will be required for registration.

On Saturday, January 29 @ 10:30 AM, Angela Foreman is returning with her Introduction to Art Clay Silver. In this class, you will learn all the basics of working with Art Clay Silver, and how to fire with both the torch and the kiln. You will start with clay, and end up with a fine silver (.999) pendant. Angie is a dynamic, patient instructor, and this class will likely hook you on working with metal clay! We also offer a number of classes in advanced Art Clay Silver techniques, and this intro class is a prerequisite for the advanced class. In order to get all the advanced classes scheduled, we can only offer this intro class 3-4 times a year, so don't miss out! Class fee is $65 and includes all supplies; $25 non-refundable deposit required for registration.

On Saturday and Sunday, March 19 & 20, Kathy returns from William Holland with her 2-day Cold Connections workshop. This intense workshop teaches the curriculum of a full week of Cold Connections at William Holland Lapidary School, and is a real favorite with YaYa Beads customers. Class fee is $145, and includes all supplies; $65 non-refundable deposit required for registration.

On Monday, March 21 @ 11:00 AM, Kathy will again be teaching Viking Knit, a fun and fascinating wire-weaving technique. Class fee is $60, and includes all supplies; $25 non-refundable deposit required.

Kathy will be teaching a class on Friday, March 18 - this class is still being developed, and we will announce it as soon as we have more details.
