Mini Metalsmithing Workshop

Mini-Metal Workshop: Sunday, December 2, 10 AM - 4PM.

Want to learn some basic metalsmithing techniques, but afraid to dive into our 3-day Cold Connections workshop? How about a Mini-Metal Class, where you can learn a few of the basic metalsmithing techniques, with which you can create lots of fun earrings, pendants, and many more components to complement your jewelry designs? Just in time for the holidays, too!

In this 6 hour basic Cold Connections (no soldering!) workshop, students will create this pendant (individual designs will vary, as we have a huge selection of textures for students to choose from!):

Skills learned will include:
  • cutting sheet metal
  • finishing rough edges
  • texturizing with hammers
  • etching
  • chasing
  • weaving
  • patination with Liver of Sulfur

The fee for this class is $75 ($35 non-refundable deposit required for registration), and includes all supplies needed to make the pendant shown above, and use of any needed tools. Students do NOT need to bring any tools to class. Students are welcome to embellish their pendants with crystals, beads, or other items, but these are not included in the class fee.

All students MUST wear close-toed shoes!

Call or come by the shop to register; availability is limited to 6 students.
